Here's how you can restore all regions in Lightyear Frontier, with the needed tool upgrades. That mission I mentioned is opening a massive door, behind which is a mystery. To start unlocking it, you need to begin completing missions about restoring the corrupted regions of the game. Doing so requires you to upgrade two tools necessary to finish the job. Restoring the world of Lightyear Frontier to its proper place requires you to upgrade both the Vacuum Harvester and Irrigation Hose. The tools are found during the game's tutorial where you wander about gathering your lost equipment. How to upgrade the mech tools in Lightyear Frontier
The regions you need to restore are choked with Noxious Weeds, Noxious Slime, or both, which is where the vacuum and hose come into play. The slime or weeds can be resistant to a tool's current level, meaning you'll have to upgrade first.
