How to get the Critical Delay mod in Warframe

Most mods you get in Warframe are a flat buff. Setting aside how useful those buffs can be in a certain situation, you're getting bang for your buck. However, some mods give buffs in exchange for a nerf elsewhere. These mods are generally more interesting as they make you think about the gains and drawbacks of each stat. One such mod is a little annoying to get, but can be great in some weapon builds. Here's how to get the Critical Delay mod in Warframe. Where to get the Critical Delay mod in Warframe The Critical Delay mod is acquired through opening Orokin Derelict Vaults. These are vaults found on the Orokin Derelict tileset, located on all nodes of Deimos excluding Magnacidium, Hyf, Exequias, the Cambion Drift, and any Albrecht Labs missions. Before entering these missions, be sure to get one of each type of Dragon Key. You can get the repeatable blueprints for each from the Orokin Lab in any Clan Dojo and can build them in your Orbiter's Foundry. The four types of Dragon Key are Bleeding, Extinguished, Decaying, and Hobbled, with each providing a major debuff when equipped. Image via Destructoid. Once you have one of each type of Dragon Key equipped to your Gear Wheel, head into an Orokin Derelict mission and proceed until you locate a half-circle door similar to the one pictured above. Use the appropriate Dragon Key on the door, then grab what's inside before finishing the mission and exiting. Doing this gives a 4.17% chance to get the Critical Delay mod, alongside other great mods like Narrow Minded. With some grinding, the Critical Delay mod should be yours. Is the Critical Delay mod worth using? At max rank, Critical Delay will provide 200% Critical Chance while reducing fire rate by 20% (doubled for bows). This makes the mod especially useful on weapons that already sport a low fire rate or are counterbalanced by other mods that increase fire rate. The Nataruk is a great example of this, allowing it to hit like a truck with some powerful crits. If you have a weapon like this, give the mod a try.
