How to get Energy Conversion in Warframe

Energy Conversion is a conditional mod in Warframe that boosts up the Strength of your next Abilit cast after picking up an Energy Orb. When fully upgraded, the Strength increase raises by +50% making it really strong in some builds. With that said, here’s how to get your hands on this mod, how to farm for it, and the best uses for it in builds. How to get Energy Conversion in Warframe To get Energy Conversion in Warframe, you must increase your Standing gain with Cephalon Simaris up to 100,000. He’s a neutral Syndicate, so your gains with other Syndicates will not affect Standing here.  He also does not have levels to go through. His maximum cap of Standing is 125,000, so once you hit the 100k mark or slightly above, you can purchase the Energy Conversion mod.  In order to get the standing, you have to scan any enemy or scannable object with the Synthesis Scanner. You can not use the Codex Scanner to gain Standing. The Standing cap is the same as the rest of your Syndicates and increases with your account Rank. Depending on the target, you will have to scan them anywhere between one to four times. These targets are different than normal enemies in that they have a few parts you have to scan on their bodies. Upon completing one of the scans towards the daily, you’ll receive a few thousand Standing points. Once you complete the task, go back to Simaris and claim your additional reward. It’ll oftentimes be a hefty chunk of Standing and some Endo. Stealth scan high-level enemies If you don’t want to look for the Synthesis Targets, then use a stealth Warframe like Loki, Ash, or Ivara. Build them with high duration so their respective invisibility casts last longer.  Now, head into a mission like the Exterminate mission, Adaro on Sedna and stealthily scan unaware Grineer enemies. You’ll earn close to double the Standing for that scan as you would if the enemy was aware of any Tenno. In one mission, as long as you are fully stealthy, making no enemies aware of you, you can easily max out Standing. Just make sure you brought enough Scanners or have the Sol-Battery Widget installed for infinite uses. If doing the whole Synthesis Scanner stuff is too boring or takes too long for you, this mod can be bought from other players via the Trade tab. Depending on your luck, you can buy the mod for as low as 25 Platinum, though most others tend to sell this around 40 to 50 Platinum, unranked.  Screenshot by Destructoid When to use Energy Conversion in a build Any Warframe that has a channeled ability, like Mesa, Excalibur, Titania, Revenant, and others, benefit greatly from this. If the channeled ability is affected by Energy Conversion, it will get the added Strength bonus until it’s turned off. It helps scale into tougher content down the line in the game. Other frames that can generate Energy Orbs with Augments or loot-increasing abilities can benefit greatly from it too.  The post How to get Energy Conversion in Warframe appeared first on Destructoid.
