Final Fantasy Dawntrail launches July 2, Early Access in June
Dawntrail, the fifth expansion for Final Fantasy XIV, launches this summer on July 2. The announcement came during the PAX FFXIV Tenth Anniversary panel hosted by director and producer Naoki Yoshida. The news comes after months of uncertainty and guessing by players, with reluctant patience finally being rewarded with this release date. As always, you'll be able to play a few days early if you preorder FFXIV Dawntrail, and the FFXIV Early Access period begins on June 28. While this is the planned release date, there may yet be delays, as happened prior to the release of Endwalker, which was delayed by two weeks, very close to the initially planned release. It has also been revealed that players are likely to see a significant increase in the number of rewards going into Dawntrail, though Yoshida was pretty vague about where these rewards would come from.
